The suburban community of Riddle Hill is situated halfway between State Route 97 to the north and Interstate I-72 to the south, just outside of urban Springfield. While the neighborhood itself is outside of the main drag, the Springfield Mass Transit District operates a convenient bus service that connects Riddle Hill real estate with the rest of Springfield. Residents in Riddle Hill enjoy the country-style living of the local area because of the quiet streets and extremely safe streets. The comfort of being in such a secure community is actually reminiscent of several decades ago before violence and crime became a worry for many small communities.

Because Riddle Hill is so small, there is absolutely no commercial interests in the community, save for a small local convenience store. Luckily, Riddle Hill’s residents aren’t far from the glitzy showrooms of well-known stores. White Oaks Mall is the largest shopping plaza for Riddle Hill and a number of other neighborhoods in the area. Anchored by Bergner’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s, and Sears, White Oaks Mall includes a number of large retailers and national brand-name merchandisers. More than 115 specialty stores and restaurants fill the mall’s promenades.

Residents of Riddle Hill enjoy being able to shop at high-end fashion stores and dine at quality eateries so close to their home. Some of the more notable businesses at the mall include Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Gymboree, Hollister Co., Justice, Ruby Tuesday, The Children's Place, and Yankee Candle Company. There are also several grocery stores near White Oaks Mall that are frequented by many Riddle Hill residents.

A popular hotspot for some of Riddle Hill’s well-off golfers is the Brookhills Golf Club, an important part of the Riddle Hill community. Besides playing a round of golf, members also take the opportunity to dine and be entertained at the venue. On most weekends, at least one party can be spotted at the well-maintained place of golf.
